This May, challenge yourself with the Great Canadian Yoga Stretch! An initiative of CNIB, the Yoga Stretch is all about getting healthy, getting active and making a difference for Canadians who are blind or partially sighted.
The best part? Anyone can take the challenge. Whether you're sighted or living with vision loss, whether you're a seasoned yogi or a complete newbie, whether you're young in years or just young at heart – you can enjoy with the Great Canadian Yoga Stretch.
It's simple . . .
FIRST, register.
To register and set up your personal fundraising page.
NEXT, set your stretch goal.
Complete your first yoga class, tackle a 30-day challenge, master a headstand – it's up to you!
THEN, get sponsored.
Ask your friends, family and coworkers to sponsor you to achieve
your stretch goal.
LAST, achieve your goal - and celebrate!
At the end of the month, give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back. On May 30, the Great Canadian Yoga Stretch will end with a bang, as CNIB hosts Celebration Events across Canada for participants.
Where the Money Goes
Funds raised in the Great Canadian Yoga Stretch will go to CNIB, helping Canadians with vision loss to enhance their independence, achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.
Today, there are 836,000 people in Canada living with significant vision loss. In the next 25 years, that number is expected to double.
CNIB's goal is to be able to help every last one of those Canadians by ensuring they have the confidence, skills and opportunities to fully participate in life.
